One of THOSE days

Have you ever had one of those days? You know the ones I'm talking about-the emo day. I was having one of those days this week. I believe it was Tuesday, and I was down and completely stressed out. My job has taken a turn lately and I am overwhelmed. In addition to this, little league baseball season has begun and my 7 year old and 5 year old are both playing competitive this year. *sigh* Which basically means that they are practicing 3-4 times per week and have 27 games between the two of them.

However, I digress. The point of the blog post is that I was having a very bad day. That is until I went to my first patient's house. Her and her husband are two of the most wonderful people I have ever met. She had a recipe that she kept for me out of a magazine. She kept it because it only had 4 ingredients and we have had discussions in which I have told her that if a recipe has more than 5 ingredients then I'm not cooking it. lol She remembered this and when she saw the recipe she kept it for me.

And if that wasn't enough kindness for me, I went into the other room and I overheard their conversation. See they can't hear well, and well I can, so everything they said was loud enough for me to hear at the other end of the house. lol Anyway, they were talking about me and said some really nice things. I was choked up a little bit as I left their house and they told me for the hundredth time that they love me.

I LOVE my patients. I may not always like my job, but I do love my patients.
